The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regard to the large range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area daily. The company issue created for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a more info service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
